Buckle Up For Investing in Crypto

My first significant purchase was Bitcoin at $8445 on the 24th of January 2020. I had previously “dabbled” and bought a few $100’s worth to test the process etc.
Within a couple of weeks, it had risen to $10,460 and all was looking good đ
I did not sell and take a profit as my plan is to buy and hold for the foreseeable future, you, of course, need to decide your own plan and comfort level.
Then COVID hit the markets in general and BTC tanked along with everything else before bouncing at $3855. To say it was a wild ride is an understatement!
However, because I am convinced that fundamentally it’s going mainstream and therefore will continue to rise, I held on.
If you can’t stomach such moves then reduce the amount you risk.
I show in the video where I bought more. Where you could have chosen to take a profit if you wish. The danger of course and especially with crypto is that it just might set off without you and not pullback.
However, most markets at least pause for breath.
A new student asked me what to do. Remember I am not a regulated financial advisor so I can not tell you what to do, but I can tell you what I would do.
If I don’t currently hold some Bitcoin and was intending to spend say $1000. I would buy $250 now just to make sure I have “some skin in the game” in case it sets off and doesn’t look back. If it drops I would buy more in stages.
If it does set off I would wait for it to pull back and look at some of the smaller coins which may not have moved yet.
